Teams of two men will play two rounds over the
Links at Crowbush Cove, and two over the
Dundarave Golf Club, each rated 4.5 stars by Golf Digest. The better ball of each of the partners on each hole will be the score to count. There will be no 36 hole cut.
Pairings will be done at random by similar handicaps for the first two rounds. Pairings for the third and fourth rounds will be by score.
There will be an
Open and Senior Division. Seniors will be 50 years and older, with the age as of June 30, 2009 being the determining factor.
There will be a gross and net division in both the Open and Senior categories. Competitors must state in advance if they are playing in the net or gross
divisions. In the case of net competitors, they must present a valid USGA, RCGA
or other recognized golf association's handicap card. All handicaps will be
verified by the Tournament Committee.
The low gross and the low net teams in both the Open and Senior divisions after
72 holes will win the
GOLFSMITH TROPHIES, plus suitable merchandise prizes
(respecting the rules of Amateur Status). Prizes will also be awarded to the
runner up, and third place teams in each division.
