Teams of two, one woman and one man, will compete over 36 holes at the
Brudenell River Golf Club, rated 4 stars by Golf Digest. The better ball of each
of the partners on each hole will be the score to count.
There will be an
Open and Senior Division. Seniors will be 50 years and older,
with the age as of June 27, 2009 being the determining factor.
There will be a gross and net division in both the Open and Senior categories.
Competitors must state in advance if they are playing in the net or gross divi-
sions. In the case of net competitors, they must present a valid USGA, RCGA or
other recognized golf association's handicap card. All handicaps will be verified
by the Tournament Committee.
The low gross and the low net teams in both the Open and Senior divisions after
36 holes will win the
GOLFSMITH TROPHIES, plus suitable merchandise prizes
(respecting the rules of Amateur Status). Prizes will also be awarded to the
runner up, and third place teams in each division.
The cost per entrant is $400 Canadian per person, and includes:
- 2 rounds of tournament golf, plus one practice round, including carts and range balls
- Welcome Party
- The Canada Night Lobster Party
- Tournament organization and scoring
- Huge prize table.
